Doug Gay is Senior Lecturer in Practical Theology at the University of Glasgow, where he has been a close colleague of Heather Walton since 2005. He combines interests in homiletics and liturgy with work in ecclesiology and political theology. His creative practice includes preaching, liturgical writing, hymnwriting and songwriting. Publications include Remixing the Church: The Five Moves of Emerging Ecclesiology (2009), Honey from the Lion: Christianity and the Ethics of Nationalism (2014), and God Be in My Mouth: 40 Ways to Grow as a Preacher (2018). With Heather Walton, he set up and leads the groundbreaking Glasgow doctoral and master’s programmes in Theology Through Creative Practice.
